Nice illustration.Whats not to Love about cut-away views?. Though i thought the Typr-90s had more 'chobham' type Armor thickness/spacing on sides?.I have ,packed away 'somewhere',an copy of Hobby Japan-or Hobby link, well, can't remember wich-all Jp Language. Anyways...Great Magazines with' photo tells a thousand words' ect.One issue had really good review on the Type 90 MBTs.Good B&W line ink drawings of perspective and Quarter views, with 'classic 'HJ close up sketches of vehicles exterior equip stowage ect.I retired from U.S.Army after 20 yrs on Tanks-[M-1 series],so at that time it was always a professional 'eye' to how other Military's dealt with their equipment load plans ect.And-I was a Plastic Kit Hobby Fan from way back when.I was able to get a look at outside of a Type 90,and the JGSDF 6x6 APC-also one of their -license built-MLRS tracks when i was stationed at Fort Lewis,In Washington state[N.W. U.S. , south of Seattle] The Brigade my Unit was in was finishing up a 30 day Gunnery and Manuever Training Rotation at a Range area near Yakima,WA in 1999 when a JGSDF task force came in to shoot gunnery on our Ranges. Not as restrictive on Live fire [live ammo ect] as smaller ranges in Jp we were told.So only their qualifying units would get to send some crews & equipment to 'Yak to shoot.I have a blurry photo of me by the M1A1 tank i was gunner on,'Kinda'muddy n dusty, just off the HETT truck that brought us back down from the Range's -and there's a Fresh Cammo painted Type-90 being un-loaded from a commecial Low boy truck.Sweet!-grabbed my cammera ans got one of my crew to snap of a pic of well-worn 'A1 near they Type-90.Alas-could'nt get a look inside-all Hush-Hush n secret on Fire control systems ect.Understandable-been there done that.[We figured they Didn't want us to see the settings for the Anti-Godzilla Rounds for the Main Gun.Lol]Ha-Good times.
The shells are backwards because the tank has a bustle autoloader. This is a 3 men crewed tank not 4. Also Type 90 uses one-piece NATO standart 120mm shells so it won't sperate into pieces or anything. There is nothing wrong in this model.
Yes, I must have forgoten to thank you But I am quite busy at work and terribly uninspired lately, so I'll be quiet for some time now. Hopefuly I will have the time to study some texturing from the mats you sent me. Cheers man, take care!
